Three Pepper Seeds Writing And Editing Founder Melissa Woodworth

Hello.

I love to tell stories. Here’s a bit of mine.

As a professional writer, editor, and content strategist, I’m fascinated with all facets of storytelling. In my career, I’ve been a journalist, tutor, fact checker, proofreader, copy editor, blog manager, copywriter, and consultant. I’ve worked with large, international brands; startups; and individuals who want to step up their storytelling.

With this 360 degree view of content creation, I’ve learned when to zoom in to tackle the details and when to zoom out to analyze strategy and impact.

I created Three Pepper Seeds to offer copywriting, coaching, editing, and content strategy services to tell authentic personal and brand stories.

Let’s tap into the power of your story!

A little more about me

  • Writing and art are my two first loves. In fact, I left art school to focus on honing my craft as a storyteller and earn a degree in written communications and imaginative writing.

As a writer and artist, I see possibilities everywhere. I imagine what could be and work to make it a reality. I firmly believe in stepping outside my comfort zone to find inspiration. Creativity is creativity — whether you’re painting a picture or composing messaging.

  • As a multi-passionate creative, I’m curious about all things. I love researching, interviewing, and gaining knowledge. This natural desire to delve deep has served me well when writing across several industries — from fashion and wellness to engineering and automotive.

  • I co-wrote the whimsical picture book How I Got My Big Toe Stuck in My Nose that has become a kid favorite.

I’m currently working on writing and illustrating my first solo children’s book, which will be available Spring 2024.

What clients are saying

I LOVED your article. You are truly amazing.
— A retainer blog client
The tone and voice is spot on. You’re awesome, Melissa. You wrote all of this copy and transformed the brand voice and direction.
— A rebrand copy and content strategy client
I came to respect Melissa for her strong character and work ethic as well as her solid grammar, copy-editing and writing skills ... She has an eagle eye as a copy editor, is detail-oriented and a stickler for consistency in style and usage. As a writer, she is a solid reporter, a creative wordsmith, and understands how important accuracy and attribution are.

What’s in a name?

While noshing on some green, red and yellow peppers as I wrote, one idea came to mind: The elements — or seeds — of good writing are universal even if the flavors of the finished pieces vary. Voila! Three Pepper Seeds.
